Based on the detailed knowledge of manufacture and using process of still kettle,combined with the method of finite element stress analysis,this paper checks the linear stress of flange tooth in kettle body,finds the reasons why did crack shape in the flange tooth root of the kettle,at the same time,presents a maintenance technical scheme,which provide advises for still kettle manufacturing unit to improve the build-in-quality,and provide matters needing attention for manufacturing inspection and regular inspection of still kettle.

the article analyzes the current condition of comprehensive utilization of the residual steam recovery from still kettle in tube pile industry and introduces a new type of heat pump still kettle patent system, which recovers and utilizes residual steam. The system has an enormous energy-saving potential and a short period of investment return, because it could save a great deal of steam in tube pile industry.
