2015 Chile copper production 5 million 760 thousand tons

Chilean copper Commission (Cochilco) released statistics said 2015 Chile's copper production for 576 million tons, essentially flat with 575 million tons in 2014.
Cochilco believes that the main reason for the increase in production is the weather, workers strikes and technical reasons, plus copper prices fell.
In early 2015, Cochilco has predicted that 2015 production will reach 6 million tons.
State copper company, Codelco, yield of 189 million tons, higher than 2014 184 million tons, mainly because of hares (Ministro Hales) copper production and Teniente El Teniente copper production growth.
The world's largest copper mine, BHP's Aars Condi Da (Escondida) copper production was 1 million 150 thousand tons, down 1%.
Last month, Cochilco forecast 2016 copper output remained stable, is expected to be 5 million 760 thousand tons.
