Wood pellets are generally made from compacted sawdust or other wastes. Obviously, the density of wood powder is much higher than grass density. For in same volume, the weight of former is much heavier than the latter. It’s simply the case that these grass material require less energy to compress and generally require less time in the die to achieve sufficient compression.
